Therefore I am

Facu Montanaro

I'm a gamer passionate about beautiful products and stunning visuals. I'm fortunate to have design as a superpower, which enables me to help others turn their ideas into reality and make a positive impact.

I enjoy coffee, food, minimalism, and movies or TV shows. Minimalism is essential to my lifestyle, as it helps me streamline my surroundings and concentrate on what matters most.

The good old days

Counter-Strike

Counter Strike

Before I finished writing this, Tobias van Schneider shared a poignant and beautifully crafted story about Counter-Strike on his blog, which you can read here. As I read it, it felt like he had pulled the words straight from my heart. I shared the same emotions, experiences, and nostalgia—it was as if I had written it myself. Every word and sentence resonated with me, capturing precisely what I wanted to express.

Counter-Strike has completely shaped my childhood. The best memories and lasting friendships were built in those servers, on those maps, and in every new game I played without expecting anything in return—it was just pure fun.

After more than 20 years of playing Counter-Strike, I now mainly enjoy co-op games rather than competitive ones. Nevertheless, I still view gaming as a joyful experience in my daily life, filled with fun every time I play with friends.

The bean

Coffee

Coffee

Coffee is more than just a beverage—it's a ritual, an art form, and a connection to something greater than myself. From the first moment I held freshly roasted beans, I became captivated. Each bean tells a story of perseverance and commitment, from the farmers who carefully cultivate and harvest them to the roasters who enhance their best flavors.

Brewing coffee is where the magic occurs. It's a moment of calm precision when I immerse myself in the craft and savor the result in my cup. For me, coffee isn't just a drink—it's a way to slow down, appreciate the details, and feel anchored in the effort and passion that makes it special.

Freedom

Bike

Bike

Learning to ride a bike was one of the first real lessons in freedom I ever experienced. As a kid, it was pure joy—the wind rushing past, exploring new places, and feeling like the world was suddenly within reach. That sense of freedom hasn't left me. Riding a bike now serves as an escape, a state of mind where I can leave behind stress and distractions and be.

There's a simplicity to it—a connection to the moment—much like the minimalist beauty I seek in other areas of my life. Whether riding my bike on a quiet city street or a long stretch of open road, my bike is more than just transportation; it reminds me of how good it feels to move forward, let go, and be alive.
